CEMA’s Young Professionals Group is excited to announce their first 
virtual professional development opportunity—a two-part experience designed to help young professionals build confidence in financial decision-making, even without a finance background, with a specific emphasis on the material handling manufacturing world.
Part 1: Self-Paced Online Course
We’ll begin with Finance for Non-Finance: Learn to Make Profitable Decisions
You'll learn how to:
- Understand the economic substance of projects you are engaged in
- Make well-informed economic decisions
- Weigh benefits against costs
- Understand the numbers in the financial statements of any company
- Have a more complete picture of your company and its competitors
(This course is expected to take 4-5 hours to complete.)
Part 2: Live Webinar with CEMA Past President
We'll finish with an AMA About Finance, with Guest Expert Ned Thompson, President and Chief Executive Officer at PRAB, a leading manufacturer of industrial machinery and equipment and member of CEMA since 1990. This exclusive, interactive session will give you the chance to ask real-world finance questions and learn directly from a seasoned CEMA leader.
Proficient in budgeting, financial forecasting, and implementing cost-saving measures to enhance profitability, Ned plays a vital role in driving PRAB's strategic vision and overseeing the company's day-to-day operations. Ned served as CEMA's President in 2018-2019.
