Martin Sprocket & Gear was founded in 1951 by Joe Martin Sr. Over the decades Martin has expanded through machining, fabrication, forging, casting, powdered metal technology and machined & injection molded plastic of power transmission components, material handling products and custom forgings.

Martin has grown to include manufacturing and sales facilities strategically located worldwide. Martin's philosophy is simple. "Make a quality product, have plenty of it available and be easy to do business with!" Martin accomplishes this by combining the convenience of regional & branch manufacturing plants with the strength of our distributors.

In the power transmission, bulk material handling, custom forgings and conveyor pulley industries, there's one company that stands apart — it's the one with the reputation for exceptional customer service — the one with parts and materials in stock nationwide—the one that provides quick turnaround times on MTOs and alterations—the one that keeps operations up and running with minimum downtime.

Every Martin plant in North America has complete product line inventory of the entire product line. And, every plant has the ability to manufacture or custom alter parts with complete machining. Finished product can be staged locally for release per customer schedule.
